The book entitled 'Belief' is the newest crime novel of Polish writer, Anna Kańtoch. It narrates about three murders, militia must face with them in Rokotnica, the place where these crimes happened. The criminal action happens in 1986 in a small village. One day the rector of the parish there find the body of a young girl on the tracks. For solution and finding the murderer the captain Witczak arrives to Rokotnica. With others: Waśkowiak, Synowiec and Hanka struggle with secrets, unexplained problems of this village from the past. Inhabitants aren't eager to talk with militia, they keep quiet but know a lot. People call Rokotnica 'the cursed parish'. The priest Marczewski's predecessors disappeared in obscure circumstances. Therefore, the present priest feels anxiety and all the time thinks about the girl on the tracks. Two next murders occur in this village. Militia finds the similarities between them. Every secrets and riddle connects to the whole which allows to catch the criminal.
