Una grande serata con circa 600 persone al teatro Sociale di Brescia per l'assegnazione di sette premi, anzi di otto visto che c'è un ex aequo. Il BFF è davvero europeo. Tanto anche il pubblico straniero! Qui potete leggere le motivazioni!

A great evening with about 600 people at the Teatro Sociale in Brescia for the awarding of seven prizes, or rather eight since there is a tie. The BFF is truly European: much foreign audience!

MOTIVAZIONI - REASONS

Primo premio - First prize

Il booktrailer incendia di emozioni e divampa in un originale western 

d'animazione, che scava nella crudeltà e nella redenzione. Un racconto 

visionario ed incandescente, che omaggia la poetica di Jodorowsky dove 

un ragazzo è costretto a crescere, troppo in fretta, nel regno di un Signore 

del Male.

The booktrailer inflames with emotions and flares up in an original western style

animation which digs deep into cruelty and redemption. A visionary and heated tale, that pays tribute to Jodorowsky's poetics in which a boy is forced to grow up, too fast, in the kingdom of a Lord of Evil.

Secondo premio - Second prize

Lo stile semplice dei disegni del romanzo e la forza espressiva delle 

illustrazioni si fondono nelle immagini del booktrailer in un'atmosfera 

inquietante e coinvolgente. La voce ipnotica e misteriosa della colonna 

sonora è il punto di forza che completa l’esperienza.

The simple style of the novel's drawings and the expressive power of 

illustrations blend into the images of the booktrailer due to a disturbing and engaging atmosphere . The hypnotic and mysterious voice of the soundtrack is the strong point that rounds off the experience.

Terzo premio - Third prize

Perfect Blue è un booktrailer affascinante e disturbante. Il montaggio 

accresce la tensione, che non concede tregua fino all'ultimo fotogramma”.

Perfect Blue is a fascinating and disturbing booktrailer. Its editing increases a sense of  tension, which does not give us any respite until the last frame".

La Metamorfosi rivive in un booktrailer d'animazione moderna che, 

realizzato con tecniche innovative, crea un'atmosfera di alienazione e 

disorientamento”.

The Metamorphosis comes back to life in a modern animated booktrailer.

Made with innovative techniques, it creates an atmosphere of alienation and 

disorientation".

Premio accessibilità, due ex aequo

Il booktrailer realizzato per il libro Open di Andre Agassi risulta efficacemente accessibile perché utilizza in modo funzionale ma non didascalico il commento testuale, la musica e gli effetti sonori. In particolare è decisamente apprezzabile la scelta di strutturare la colonna sonora fondendo il suono e il ritmo tipici del colpo della racchetta sulla palla da tennis con il battito cardiaco, a sottolineare il crescente stato emotivo ed emozionale del protagonista. L'inserimento delle voci degli speaker che ci informano a quale altissimo livello di competizione sia arrivato Agassi, nonostante il suo sofferto percorso per raggiungerlo, aiuta a considerare il carattere autobiografico del testo del quale viene promossa la lettura.

The booktrailer created for Open by Andre Agassi is effectively accessible because it uses textual commentary, music and sound effects in a functional but not didactic way. In particular, the choice to structure the soundtrack merging the typical sound and rhythm of  tennis strokes with the human heartbeat is definitely remarkable to underline the growing emotional state of the protagonist. The introduction of speakers’ voices shows us the very high level of competition Agassi has achieved, despite his painful path and helps to consider the autobiographical context of the book.

Il booktrailer realizzato per il libro Il barone rampante di Italo Calvino, unisce recensione e promozione del libro con una narrazione brillante, individua bene le tematiche della trama rendendole accessibili al fruitore con un montaggio dinamico di precisi passaggi testuali, effetti sonori e musica. Il calibrato equilibrio di questi elementi rende il lavoro decisamente accattivante.

The booktrailer The Baron in the Trees combines book review and promotion with a brilliant narration and identifies clearly the main themes of the plot, making them accessible to the audience with a dynamic editing of clear textual passages, sound effects and music. The thought-out balance of these elements makes the work definitely engaging.

OPS

Il booktrailer dal libro Ops di Roberto P. Tartaglia suscita curiosità attraverso un montaggio emotivo che intreccia ritmi e fotografia in bianco e nero da thriller con la riflessione su una realtà finale imprevista. Il soffio del vento unico effetto sonoro diventa metafora dello straniamento, accentuando la lotta interiore del protagonista, mentre l'esplosione finale dei colori evidenzia la sua liberazione come atto di coraggio e consapevolezza.

OOPS…

The booktrailer OOps… causes curiosity thanks to an emotional video editing that strikes up rhythms and a black-and-white thriller photography with a deep reflection on an unexpected reality. The breath of wind, the only sound effect, becomes a metaphor for alienation, emphasizing the protagonist's inner struggle, while the final explosion of colours highlights their liberation as an act of courage and awareness.
